Facebook challenge part 1: $20k/month in ad revenue
Inspired by the Strevio creator who did a $50k in 12 month challenge, I decided to try my own goal of hitting $20k in ad revenue from Facebook traffic within 6 months.
This is how I plan to do that.
where i’m starting
Unlike the Strevio challenge that started with a brand new Facebook Page, I’m starting with a Page that I’ve had for 10+ years with over 100,000 followers.
Despite the large number of followers, the traffic from Facebook to my main site has mostly been pretty minimal.
I had assumed that Facebook reach was too difficult nowadays so I hadn’t really put a lot of effort into making it a serious source of traffic…until now.
my plan
To get started, I am going to test various kinds of Facebook posts to see how they do for us. In the Strevio challenge, he found the most success with photo or text posts that use a link in the first comment.
Once I figure out what works best, I will schedule 5 posts per day using the style of posts that seem to perform the best for our audience.
To identify which content to use in those 5 daily time slots, I’ll use the stats in Strevio to queue up posts that have performed well. Over time, the % of posts performing well should grow based on being able to keep the queue filled with things that work.
Another thing I’m willing to try based on the Strevio challenge results is launching a whole new Facebook Page from scratch since there seems to be some evidence that smaller FB Pages often have more reach than Pages with 100k+ likes.
I’m not sure when I’ll be doing that, but it’s something I will definitely try to see if it moves me closer to my goal.
Stay tuned for monthly updates to see how it goes! 🤞
